Its another great day of exploration. Marvin really challenged us today. As we explore the different animation characters, I am enthusiastic that just the use of these characters to enhance our daily teaching, am sure that students will be motivated to come to school. My worry only lies on their attention wherein it will be diverted to the animated characters rather than on the lesson itself. But with the precautionary reminders of our facilitator as we are making our Marvin presentation, am sure we are alal enlightened on the application of this. Even if the computer I am using shut downs from time to time I can hardly manage to make my output. At any rate patience is really a virtue.
Later in the afternoon, I was asked to submit attachments to my reimbursements. I can't produce any bus ticket because when I came here last Friday night I joined the family trip to Batangas and just left behind to attend to this seminar. I was a little bit disappointed when I was informed that they can not give my reimbursements without attachments. At any rate I just hope that they will just give any allowable amount for my travel. Any way I learned a lot in this seminar.
Thank you for the invitation. Am looking forward to series of seminar again. God Bless to the organizers.

Session Reflections
Another exciting and a challenging day! Making a photostory really triggers your mind to think and explore. It was my first encounter with this type of application to integrate in a subject. Making a lesson using this type of presentation in a mathematics subjects entails a lot of exploration to all the suggested topics and presentations. Applying what I learned in search techniques I have a hard time identifying which one is best suited to the topic chosen. The more you have known makes it more complicated but nevertheless it was exciting. I am very sure that if all lessons will be developed this way, I know participation rate of students will be increased and the more they are motivated to learn. What hinders these technologies in teaching are the teachers who can't deliver the goods to students because they themselves do not like to learn. If only we can force all teachers to be technology oriented, then I 'm sure literacy rate will increase. There should be sanctions to be given to teachers who are not willing to use technology in teaching like letting them to retire earlier and offering them a good package since they are no longer productive in the service. What really hinders these technologies in the field are those teachers who are not technology oriented and no longer interested to use such because they are just waiting for their retirement. I am really interested to know more about this blogging and encourage students to post their outputs and that they can make their own photo stories soon. I know the young generations are more inquisitive and that we can generate more from their creativity.

Making a photostory
May 27,2008.
It's a challenging day. Making a photostory in mathematics is really a challenging work for me. Huh! I can't post my photostory ! Following all the steps next after the other and after several try outs, still I can't penetrate. I just hope the facilitator can still access my outputs. It's a very tough work. Wanna see my photo story output! Here it is: I just hope its successful.

my trek to smart ict seminar
May 19, 2008 when I received a text message from mam Joy informing me about this seminar. I volunteered myself to join this seminar because I was very interested to know and learn more about this program. She readily agreed telling me that I have to include another teacher. Good enough I recommended my former student who is more knowledgeable and who monitors our ICT laboratory. I informed my principal about this and she agreed immediately and so I have to send the confirmation through email. Then several communications followed.
May 26, 2o08. All participants from Luzon cluster were welcomed and introduced by Mam Joy Lapuz. After which we immediately explored the web. At first it was really a nosebleed on my part especially that I have limited experience on the web. But with persistence and patience because of a slow response of the connectivity I have a hard time following the lecture. Added stress on my part that outputs were under time pressure. In order to cope with the time alloted to finish the required output I have to eat lunch faster and proceeded immediately to the lab inorder to complete the required task.
I would like to commend the lecturer-facilitator who is alone monitoring all the participants who are also "makukulit" like me. Earlier this morning, as if I would like to backed out already but because of my interest, later thsi afternoon, I'm glad that I can already follow the activity and find myself at least has an edge of the other participants. And so I am looking forward for a more fruitful accomplishment as this seminar goes on.
Thank you for Smart schools so we can bring back all these knowledge and share with our colleagues back home.
